Our Ratcliffe Cross St project team were delighted to host a Prostate Cancer presentation to staff and site operatives recently to promote awareness of this extremely relevant subject. Prostate cancer is currently the most common cancer in men, accounting for 25% of all cancer diagnoses.

Michelle French of Prostate Cancer UK, delivered the presentation, said “In the UK, about 1 in 8 men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer at some point in their lives. Older men, men with a family history of prostate cancer and black men are more at risk. For the last ten years, the amazing efforts of construction companies across the UK have significantly contributed to our research initiatives and have supported men by hosting such events on live building sites and investing in our services. Thank you once again to the great teams at Guildmore for helping and supporting our great cause

Peter O’Connor, Head of Pre-Construction & Compliance at Guildmore said:

“We were delighted to host this thoroughly informative event, giving staff and operatives an insight into Prostate Cancer and how it can affect the lives of those who suffer from the disease. We hope our support will go some small way to helping prevent future occurrences by informing those likely to be affected of the tell-tale signs to look out for. We are very grateful to all at PCUK for their remarkable work and will continue to avidly promote the subject across all of our construction sites”

Guildmore are currently constructing a 77 unit scheme at our Limehouse site as part of the Notting Hill Genesis Framework. Construction works are due to complete in May 2020.
