Maple Court formerly known as Surrey Square
This area is witnessing significant regeneration with the London & Quadrant led Albany Place scheme underway.
After obtaining planning permission on 2 September 2013, we started work on site in May 2015. The development has now been completed and almost all sold.
We were appointed as the Surrey Square construction company on account of our strong track record. This includes direct contracting for Local Authorities on complex building structures, together with a strong understanding of risk management in relation to on site and adjacent infrastructure components. We worked closely in conjunction with a water course surveyor.
We were extremely proud to undertake the construction for this exciting Surrey Square development.
The site extends to approximately 0.12 acres in the London Borough of Southwark, and we obtained planning permission for the erection of a part 4, part 5-storey building comprising 9 private residential units.
Originally an overgrown and underused site corner of the grounds of Surrey Square School, by realising the full development potential of this tiny 0.12 acre site, the school has obtained the resources to develop a new nursery facility to serve the next generation, while we have created 9 two bedroom apartments, which will bring new life to the area. Notwithstanding the exceptionally tight site, all the units enjoy a generous standard of accommodation and include either private gardens or benefit from large corner balconies which benefit from the mature trees protected throughout construction. We specialise in making the most of challenging infill sites such as this one. If London’s housing shortage is ever to be addressed, the city needs many housing schemes like Maple Court.
