We have recently been appointed by Hackney Council to build 45 new homes on the Frampton Park Estate over the next two years. This includes a mix of homes for social rent and shared ownership, paid for through new homes for outright sale.

These homes replace will replace the bedsits at Lyttelton House, which no longer met modern standards, alongside additional new homes on the sites of the former Frampton Arms pub.  This will provide high quality new homes meeting modern, design, space and sustainability standards, with a mix of family homes to match the local housing need.

This is part of Hackney Council’s housebuilding programme, which is building almost 2,000 new homes between 2018 and 2022. More than half of these are for social rent and shared ownership, with the remainder for outright sale to help pay for them.

Our team commenced on site in April 2018 with a programme of installing new perimeter site hoardings/gates, and pedestrian routes around the two sites.  We have installed a pit lane which acts as a safe delivery route in and out of the two sites and have installed site accommodation offices and temporary supplies such as electric, water, drainage and waste management/sundry facilities.

On the Frampton Arms site we have now commenced with groundworks.  We understand this has caused a lot of dust in the area and we would like to apologise for the dust and inconvenience caused.  To reduce the amount of dust we have brought in extra machinery which will help with the dust suppression by using site water bowsers so you should see a reduction in the amount of dust being produced.

We will also be performing daily sweeps on the balconies of Sherard House and will be also be conducting weekly window cleans for the front doors and windows which have been affected by all the dust coming from the groundworks.

As of next week, we will be placing speed humps and installing circular traffic mirrors for each corner of Mason House to slow traffic down to make the area safer.

On the Lyttelton House site, a soft strip demolition of the building has already taken place and we hope for a hard demolition within the next few weeks.
